Apple released new betas for MacOS and iOS tonight but at the same time they uploaded the release notes for WatchOS 3.2 and now we know what Theater Mode is
Earlier this month rumours suggested that Theater Mode was going to be a new feature in iOS 10.3 however with the beta of that released this evening and no sign of it we began to wonder what it was. However someone has discovered that Apple uploaded the release notes for WatchOS 3.2 up to Developer site. No WatchOS 3.2 beta was released today but we did receive WatchOS 3.1.3 and there is conflicting evidence in the release notes for 3.2.
Apple’s Developer Site states that “Introduced in watchOS 3.1.3 – Theater Mode” so we are expecting this to either arrive in an extra update or WatchOS 3.2 beta in the next few days. Theater Mode is, actually, as it sounds
Theater Mode lets users quickly mute the sound on their Apple Watch and avoid waking the screen on wrist raise. Users still receive notifications (including haptics) while in Theater Mode, which they can view by tapping the screen or pressing the Digital Crown.
So there we go! Check out the full relase notes of WatchOS 3.2 on the Developer Pages
